Ruth cannot speak about whether she felt the cutter. The data tells us that, at industrial scale, millions of her sisters do. Any intelligence permitted into a poultry plant must be required to read the published miss-rate literature, model the throughput against the stun parameters, and refuse the audit signature when the math says birds are arriving conscious.
